I am a single mom of 4 kids and haven’t had a job for over a year. I am currently enrolled in school hoping that will do something for me but traveling back and forth to school and school clothes and food for when I’m at school is a killer. When I am done with school I still have the money to come up with to take my National tests then money for my license. I’m broke, i’m depressed and the holidays are near. The place I live is a rental and the utility bills during the winter are harsh. The utility’s are in someone else’s name simply because I have an outstanding bill from a previous residence I cannot afford to pay. I need help

Tara,
The first thing you need to do is to try to find a way to get your mind in a place that will help you get a better out look. I know that things are tough right now, and that you are stressed, but that won’t help the situation.
Have you looked into all the different programs available to single mothers?
I know that money is tight right now, but you may also want to consider moving to a more temperate climate so the heating costs are much lower.
As for the holiday season, I know it can be a challenge when you are looking out there and trying to find ways to make ends meet and wanting to provide for holiday cheer, but it can be done with little acts of kindness. Forget all the BS and commercialism around presents and that crap. You don’t need it. With a little love and kindness, you can have a wonderful season. It’s about your outlook.
Keep you head high.
