There are some options that you can explore if you are looking for emergency money and are a single mother. Regardless of whether you are a single mother or not, the options are basically the same. You can look at getting a personal loan, you can look at getting a payday loan, or you can borrow money from someone you know.
Borrowing money from someone you know may not be the best option because money can tend to put dividers between people. When you get a personal note, the personal loan is based on your credit worthiness and the banks believe that you will be able to pay back the loan. If you have good credit, a personal loan may not be a problem for you to get. All you need to do is go to the bank and apply for the loan. The bank may do a credit check and issue you a dollar amount based on what they think you can afford to pay back.
Now, let’s take a look at payday loans. You may have heard them called no fax payday loans or no credit payday loans. In general, lots of people use payday loans for emergency money. Essentially, what a payday loan company does is loan you money in advance of you getting your paycheck. You may have heard is called payday advance loans. So, they give you the cash upfront and when you get your paycheck you sign over the paycheck to them. The way it works is the money that they give you is a smaller amount than what you were going to get paid on your paycheck. So, the payday loan company makes the difference. A quick example would be let’s say you are going to earn $500 on your next paycheck, they may issue you $400 cash and then you sign over your $500 paycheck to them.
As you can see, payday loans are a quick source of funds, but they are very expensive. When you consider the amount you pay a payday loan company for early access to cash, you quickly see that the money you pay is very high.
So those are a few options you have to consider. Emergency money for single mothers is never a good thing, but if you needed sometimes you have to pay the price. Potentially the smartest thing you can do is get a credit card with a high limit. When you find that you need access to money, you may be able to use credit instead of cash.
